I've beaten all the mirror modes now, whats the time trials for? Practice? Or is there something to be beaten?

Well, if u get certain times, really fast, on the levels in time trials, then u can get the nintendo staff ghost. They r really fast. Once u switch levels or characters or quit time trials u have to get them again. That sucks.
