Differences between the sexes still exist?

Besides, I stared at an ugly butt but I was none the stronger.Edit: Yey. Love Phantasy Star then. It's different from "the norm". Alis Landale uses Laconium Sword and Noah uses Psycho Wand. And the healer in Phantasy Star IV is a male priest too.

True as that is... there were still plenty of clothing issues with the older Phantasy Star games... which is NOT different from the norm.

I messaged pink and showed her a picture of Rika from Phantasy Star IV's original design (Rika is the HUnewearl on the right): ![]() Rieko Kodama is my hero. -- Mirinee: Wow. That looks so good. I WISH the character design team kept it! Whose idea was it to change it? I bet it wasn't hers. Pink: I'd say some stupid male poked his nose in and was like "Lets add sex appeal to our game!" to which every other male went "Yaaaay!" and then Rika was violated. Mirinee: I bet so too. Poor Rika! At least the two humans girls and the android girl are perfectly decently dressed. Pink says: But poor Rika... She looked really really REALLY good before being violated. =x.x= nomercy Wrote:Yeah, I find the clthes slightly weird personally.Which clothes? p.s. Uhoh, this is kind of turning into a ranting thread. ![]() Edit: as a reply to the post below me, RAmarls and a few FOnewearls are okay, and even one or two HUnewearls. (I didn't think this comment merited a separate post).

All of them basically. Well, all female ones. Look at them on PSO. All females apart from droids and FOmarls show as much as they can without getting pornographic.

There's a 5% growth difference between Male (ATP/HP/ATA) & Female (TP/DEF/EVA). Genders have a 105% growth to their specialty 3 stats and a 95% growth to the other 3. It's a very small difference in the big picture after you add race/class/equipment into the mix. So it's good in the fact that no gender is shafted on tech restrictions or ability balance. The only factors that might make a small difference is gender exclusive equipments in the future and of course the random luck everyday.
PSU Character:
Izurei - Level 50 Cast, Rank 10 Ranger/Rank 3 Force (Future Guntecher) - Universe 2 or 15
There is little difference between the sexes in PSU. Consider this scenario. Two lv 10 Forces, both lv 45, one is male, and one is female.
male - female HP: 881 - 851 ATP: 228 - 217 ATA: 137 - 132 TP: 745 - 763 DFP: 74 - 77 EVP: 286 - 296 MST: 233 - 251 STA: 10 - 12 If you couldn't already tell, there are no significant differences in any area. In my opinion, the higher HP on males, cancels out the female's higher DFP and EVP. So the only real differences, are between a male's ATP and ATA, and a female's TP, and MST. Even those areas have no real advantage either.

5%, I see. Only time will tell how much this stat difference at maxed levels can affect gameplay. I notice there's no difference between MST, DEX and LUK. I can also understand the need for exclusive equipments.
While the techs restrictions removal is a good thing (the point of the lev15/lev20 for RAmar/marl was ...?), PSO had the stats between sexes differing differently between jobs too (e.g. HUcast/caseal and RAcast/caseal), so the +5% thing seems far too simple in PSU. Do mats still exist? With the removal of MAGs, PSU seems to be lacking in customisation of character stats. For example, in PSO, FOmarl has higher natural MST than FOmar at level 200, but if both start taking MIND mats, FOmar's maxed MST is superior to FOmarl's (which is why I ...). Hope there's more to PSU! ^^

The fact that it's a small difference is even worse really... that means that if the stats are different by such a small margin, why have them differ at all? Thus, making me believe it to be sexist even MORE strongly.
