Save your apples though. Your native fruit (the one you start with) sells for 100 bells each, but foreign fruit sells for 500 bells. If you save it and sell the fruit in another town (with a different native fruit), you'll get a lot more money.
ALSO, people online will want your fruit to grow their own trees, so having some to give will also be a good idea. You'll most likely get their fruit in return.

You can just take it from other towns, but note that you can only go to towns that have you on their friend list. Which also means they can come to your town, so you kinda reap what you sow.

So you can go to their towns any time, even if they're not there? Also, can they cut down your trees and buy all the items from Nook so you don't get a chance to?

Well you see the thing is since we have freind codes you will really be only adding your friends and of course no friend of yours is going to take all your fruit and chop down your trees without asking. And if anyone starts getting out of hand the host can actually kick everyone out and stop wifi.

heh, for friend codes i go to ign.com then search animal crossing, then go to boards.
they have like 200 friend codes listed :O and you can always find a thread welcoming you to parties

The problem with that is you never know who you are adding is trustworthy enough and if they are gonna cut and dig up your town.
