FSOD is easily stopped by putting your most valuable items in the bank.

wrong, I have had several FSOD in-game; like I already said, lose a very rare weapon that you spent months hunting, and come back (not you personally, decs), I have some back-ups (Sange & Yasha, Lavis Cannon, NUG2000-Bazooka, etc.), I'm still a legit freak >=\

Personally, I wouldnt dupe items for any reason however, the reason for that is that losing any of my items just gives me an excuse to run through the game again killing stuff :evil: .
I'm not saddistic, it just uhhh...adds longevity to the game. :ponder:
This said, I would not penalise anyone for wanting to make certain that they werent going to lose items to FSOD or worse. I dont see the point in getting upset at people for wanting to be safe.

I'm the kinda guy who saves his game every few minutes cuz I HATE losing progress, so I would dupe all my good stuff just to be on the safe side. However, I wouldn't massively dupe stuff and start handing it out to whoever wants it. There's no fun in the game if you dont earn anything you get.

what is FSOD? ive seen that on other sites as well for different games where people would complain bout that one problem.

It isn't

If you really want to be legit then I wouldn't trade unless you know the person very well.

Darkmatter: FSOD=Frozen Screen Of Death (when the game freezes online and you lose either your unequipped items and meseta or just meseta, depending on when the FSOD occurs.)

Duping/hacking for any reason is just not right. (no offense to illegit players out there). I lost tons of stuff from fsod; agito, delsaber's buster, mags, addslots, proto regene gears, delsaber shield, red saber...etc. and i've never even considered turning illegit because of it. I simply got back to the game and legitimately got it all back. Not only does it give the game even more longevity than it normally has but it also gained me some extra experience. If I can go through that without turning illegit (And I know that many other players have went through the same, and worse, without turning illegit) then why is it that some players out there are so quick to cheat?

Forget this, after thinking about it for a while i dont feel this way anymore.
I still have issues with HACKING the game.
But duping...
there are too many factors to take into account to condemn duping completely and there is also no point in going online if you dont make the most of it (ie.trading) so i probably have some dupes now anyway.

By the by, was there ever any proof that duped items affect the frequency of FSOD? If there wasnt then what is the point in the aptly named "uber-legits" kicking people out of online games just cause they own dupes? Thats not being safe, thats being downright nasty.
