My views of hacking/duping

Yes, that’s one thing which gets on my nerves every time. There is always one person who thinks they are on their own running into a room and destroying everything in a few hits even before you get in the room. This is even worse when you don’t speak their language and it’s a LEGIT game...

That’s another thing...as well all know its rather hard to find legit games in popular servers because of the time difference, when you do finally get one you play in there for say an hour or so, people have come and gone, you have racked up a few more levels and guild cards possibly a rare or two. Then the mad cheater arrives who is determined on ruining your game because he wont leave...one methods I find is very good is that you lay a telepipe on a teleporter to the next level e.g. you have come to the end of cave 2 and you come to the red teleporter, one your pals have gone in it you quickly set a pipe and take the red one before the cheater can...effectively dumping him out the game .

Duping offline or online is wrong in my opinion, don’t do it if it’s going to damage others gaming experience like I said above. As long as all cheaters stick to their own servers, games, even taking the time to make a note in the team name that it’s non legit would make a load of difference. Keep the popular servers clean and stick to your own servers, Vega is a nice place to hang out...

You can see a difference in people’s attitudes because of their game playing style. I’ve met some REALY friendly people on PSO and a good 80% of them were legit. Most cheaters, and I don’t mean this in an insulting way, make others feel bad, they use foul language and make symbol chats which are ludicrous and just make the server a bad place to be.

Spamming...Well were do I start there. Symbol chats executed extremely fast with the loud whistling sound is stupid. What is the point of it? Then you get the people who spam by using lobby actions over and over again day after day. The most recent I've seen is called Dancer who goes on Antares 8 and just well...dances for days on end, and again what’s the point of it? Finally you have the text spammers who use things like "Just because a weapon is strong doesn’t necicerialy make it the best, you have to pay attention to its attributes too" which makes a massive bubble on the screen which takes up about 2/3 of the room...Bleurgh what’s the god damn point of it?

well, I'm not rude to people I don't steal exp from people I don't use max stat (i mainly dupe luck mats to max out my luck) I don't spam. I'm not legit but I'm still considerate of other people that are legit, the way I was raised I was taught to be considerate. I always ask people (if they want a weapon I have) i tell them it is duped (because people duped them for me most of the time) and ask them if they're ok with that. I don't try to ruin other people's games. I know it's wrong to cheat and dupe. I only dupe to affect my character for backups, making sure I have plenty of trifluids (by the way my 999999 meseta in deposit came from selling stuff I found over several hours when i first got the game). So don't go saying that all people that dupe or cheat do bad things.

ok, I'm not posting in this topic anymore. I can never post anything in these discussions without getting pissed off. I say who gives a rat's a** about the whole thing. This topic is the whole reason why a few months back I killed every character I had and started over new. I hate these topics.

Some people have gone crazy with this game. Now I'm not saying that's a bad thing but in some cases, it is. With all the cheating and hacking the game has been a total disisaster. And the pso I & II players with no life got episode III. What for? To make even more hell for the episode I & II players wether they are legit or not. All you need to think of those kinds of people is they are so low in confidence they have to make others annoyed and feel bad to put themselves up. Because someone hates them, or they maybe don't have a very good social life, or their family doesnt understand him.

Lewis is also right about all of the cheating...What the hell is the point of the game if you cheat and you're level 200 and have all the weapons and armor and techneques for your class in 2 seconds? Pff, what a wast of money...unless you're spoiled and you go screw up more games. More people who wish to make people feel as crappy as they do. And though we get mad at them, it's just this whole world thats putting us down one-by-one.

Legits also have to put up with hatrid. Sure the game is rated T, but that doesn't mean there are plenty of 9 and 10 year olds who see the word "fuck" 10 years before their parents would like them too. Sega wipes the swear words out for a reason. Also with the conversation about sexual discussion and cybering. People who can't get a girl/guy do that, or they're mad because they got rejected. They take it out in a game? How pitifull is that? And inappropriate images of women or men aren't needed either. People who are that horny belong in a stripper bar, not a video game.

But then there's the good side. Not all cheaters are mean. I once knew a real nice cheater. He only dupped and maxed. He said he hated hacks. So don't judge all players. They deserve a fair chance. Maybe they don't have the time, but still want to play, and maybe it does ruin it for you. But maybe he/she has a worse life then you, that person could be depressed for all you know.

I know what you're saying, if you cheat and wether your a nice or cruel guy, people are still going to judge you. That's why you shouldn't cheat at all. People won't think very high of you. It's like being a dictator and 100 times more powerfull then the rest of them team. Not giving others a chance. Maybe they just went legit because they have the confidence they don't need that power. But when they see how weak they are now, they're back to square one.

Please don't feel offended by this, I wasn't thinking of anyone in particular.

I totally agree. One of my earlier ideas was to have someone employed by SEGA to walk around each lobby and watch what people are doing, a bit like cyber police. The type of people you mentioned Ivan would be stopped straight away...

i think that hacking or duping takes away all of the fun from a team game when people an go in and do insane amounts of damage and kill things before you get in

If you cheat offline on PSO and do eventually go online, you still cheated. And because you went online, that makes me against it. But it's your decision to do that. I won't stop you from doing it (even if I could).

I'v seen her and then I've seen another called the HUMP'O'MATIC who all day long all he does is do this humping thing very annoying
