Obiously my mates GC, my other freinds GC, Pandas GC and my GC having the same fault within a year are coincedences, whilst my ps2 and pandas ps2 have been fine. Xbox seems ok to Big Grin
I think GC quality is widely varied, i hope the nexus does better. Cool

my GameCube lasted at least 3 years, but it eventually had a similar problem, but it was with the motor. I'd repair it myself if I had the right tools to do so, but I don't. srry bout the cube though......problems do happen.

Do you treat your GC harshly?! :S

The consoles state of which i spoke were true, GC's n Xboxes last much longer then PS2's, and pratically every1 i know would agree with me easily! Interesting indeed how quality varies...

The GameCube is probably the most reliable console. It's durable. I don't see how all your GCN's get so damn busted into oblivion.

Carelessness, thats the only word i can find

As I said Before. It Was first on a very unstable shelf, and Then I would take it with my when I would travel. So, you could say my GC took more of a beating compared to one that just stays in one place. Tongue

I agree the GC seems very robust from the outside, it never falls apart or even looks damaged on the outside like the other consoles do. But the fact is the inside components are grouped very close together and internal friction as well as the occasional jolt can be enough to put a GC out of action. on the other hand, GCs are probably the easiers console to repair! Make your own decisions people, I still say id fix the thing myself.
