my point of view on hacking duping and stacking

Okay, once again I must define the words "hack" and "cheat".

A HACK is something that is a product of an outside program, introducing code that the game developers did not program into the game.

A CHEAT, or glitch, is something that was programmed unknowingly into the game by the developing team, something that results in a problem not intended to be there.

Duping, hacking, FSODs, Corruptions, and the like, were NOT supposed to be in the game. Using them is actually in violation of the end user license agreement. Using hacks is against the agreement that you say yes to every time you log in to the online world. Technically, all they really care about is getting your money at the end of each month. Corrupt? Yes, can we do anything about it? No. They haven't said anything about it yet, and they won't say anything until someone takes legal action against them, which wont happen because they are a HUGE corperation, and could outlast you in a court for years.

ya i know i hacked once but only for a monomate just 2 test it 2 see if it realy worked because if it didnt u could tell ppl not 2 waist there time and the plus version which i dont have has elimenated the way 2 dup then the original version. i think sonic team goes on the internet finds cheat places that tell gliches and they try fixing them lol. but still hacking is wrong because your using segateams gliches for your own gain

Hey, if I wanted to test duping, that's probably what I'd dupe, too... does it matter for a test?

Actually, I do know how to stack now. Not sure if I'll ever use it, though, even for the one legit purpose I described as it does in fact involve duping (in a way). I wonder if it got fixed in PSO as well...

PSO plus is actually great, because there's no double save online so no FSODX and no Lobby reload code will corrupt you though you may get FSOD. Also, not so many hackers on plus.
If I don't want to lose my items and I can use a glitch to back them up from another glitch not gaining personal profic from the action (like trading dupes online) then I see it as fine.

1.) Glitch countering glitch is ok, cos the first one wasn't meant to happen in the first place.

2.) I dont care if it's in violation of a contract cos ST have already breached it in terms of taking care of the online community in my eyes and are extremely lucky that angered people with the cash haven't sued them.

3. Even if they somehow magically found out what I was doing they wouldn't bother to do anything about it judging by their actions against hacking, FSOD and other forms of cheating.

if you don't want safe items fine, but don't judge me by my actions, I'm not a cheater. If you still dont agree then screw you hippy.

What you said about plus... is that really true? Is the lobby reload corruption code ineffective against plus users? That'd be awesome... makes me want to get my BBA even faster and get online.

I was surfing last night and found an alternate method of duping... hmm. Maybe someone here knows what I'm talking about? Of course, I can't post it here, except to say that it involves a totally different kind of glitch than the one I was familiar with. At least, in theory; see, I couldn't get it to work. Maybe this glitch got fixed in plus, as well...

Here's a question. Is it a bad thing to talk through PMs about this kind of thing? See, I'd like someone with a non-plus version to test this for me, see if it's Plus, or if I'm just doing it wrong... if this works, it'd be like a godsend to me; no more waiting until I can borrow someone's non-plus disc to make my backups. :ermm:

reason i duped a monomate was 2 check if the cheat sites were right because if they wernt anyone where is there i could tell not 2 bother and waste there time trying if it didnt work... but sadly *SIGH* it did... Yeah, I'm pretty sure the double save isn't included in PSO+ I would so buy that game, if there was a pal version! Right, I'm gonna need a freeloader, a couple of hours alone attepting to trade across my characters (cos, I'm a bit of a fool) and about £275 for that sweet 3rd party Panasonic Q gamecube... Oh, err, I don't really need that last part but the blue lights on the controller ports do look so cool.

I don't know... offline, the icon for "saving" disappears and reappears once, but this only happens during the final save (not the save it does at the start of the game). I can't recall if it saved "twice" when I was online with my PSO Plus last (IIRC, last time I was using a non-plus copy).

But what difference would that make to the lobby glitch? Do the hackers activate the code only during the second save, or something? Also, wouldn't the game sorta go out of sync if the non-plus users took twice as long to save as the plus users? Yeah, I know, I'm a noob...
