No there wasn't.
Quote:If there wasnt then what is the point in the aptly named "uber-legits" kicking people out of online games just cause they own dupes? Thats not being safe, thats being downright nasty.
That isn't nasty. These people want to level and find rares without cheating. If a cheater is helping them, then it is like they are cheating also. Also, a lot of the dupe users who use BKB/TJS/S&Y tend to kill things far too quickly, which makes it to easy for the team and makes tagging for experience incredibly hard.

If thats the case then couldnt they just ask the person to stop hogging all the exp? Or even just stop using the dupes for that game?

Fair point but who said anything about helping? Maybe the person just wants a team to play with.
Speaking from experience, PSO can get pretty damn lonely at times. If people wanted to play by themselves then they would be better off just playing offline.
It hurts to be kicked out of games.
Especially when the weapon your using is only allegedly duped.
Apparently some people have never seen a Lavis cannon before.
Anyone who has ever been kicked out of a game whether they be legit or illegit has my deepest sympathies.

That is the difference between a legit and an uber legit IMO.
A legit is someone who is willing to ask them to change equipment or stop exp hogging, whereas the uber legit is someone who just starts an argument with them for using these items as they view them as evil.
There are many teams for dupe users to play with and they can usually be found on Vega. People on PSO can be assholes, just as in life or on message boards for example/

Point taken

People need to stop bringing up the "real word". If its that important to you then stop playing games and just stay in it.

Which real
word would that be?
That statement is ridiculous. Real world ethics/morals can be attributed to a game such as this as you are playing with actual people.
So if you value the "real world", you shouldn't play games? Again, you make very little sense. Please think before you post :/

Personally I see no problem with backing up data, if it isn't been used. I mean if they are using the weapons for all the characters then yes, it is cheating.
But to say that backing up isn't legit because FSOD was released is a little harsh. One thing I learnt the hard way in life on computer is to back up EVERYTHING! I learnt this because I once had my computer hacked and all my coursework deleted, which left me 3 days to restart and finish 4 assignments. Now obviusly this is a little different to playing PSO, but the princple is the same, the risk of been hacked was there and because I didn't back up I lost everything.
Now think about it a little differently, considering Blue Burst data will be saved server side, and imagine all your data been saved like that, and one day you went to load up your character, and you find a message from sega saying 'sorry your data became corrupt and had to be deleted' you would be a little pissed off, and sega would be the worst company ever for not backing up data. This obviusly won't happen, but there is the point, backing up isn't cheating, it can't be. I wish I had a method to back up because I lost Iron Maggot to corruption, I had just got to level 90 and was very annoyed. Of course restarting I know have more knowledge and have been able to do a lot of things differently, but I still would rather of stayed as Iron Maggot.
Backing up is just insurance, it isn't my fault sega released a game with bugs in, and so I should be allowed to back up data that has took many, many hours of my life. (Oh, and I don't actually back up, I have no way of doing so)
