I've been playing for about a year. Not sure if I already said that but I thought I should at least reply.

well i aint actually bein playin long bout 3 months and i didnt start off with acoustic i started off wid electric

Im quite bad at timing with that thing, Im trying to get the right timing to do the first bit from Five Is A Four Letter Word by lostprophets...

just dont go near any rammstein songs, one of them has 4.5 beats between every strum.. *pain*

I play guitar. I prefer depressive rock. A bit niché, I know.

The stuff Im doing now is simple riffs and such. Easy. Ever tried 'We Still Kill The Old Way' riff?
Just tune guitar properly, and strum the 3 thickest strings of the guitar to the right timing (which is a git to get right). And thats the riff....quite simple.

Learning chords is so tedious, and sounds so crap due to my untuned acoustic lol.

Ive never played drums, but it looks fun!

i'm an electric guitarist, been learning since x-mas, and am an expert at holiday, i can play other greenday songs but not all the way through, i also can play foo fighters "breakout" and am learning various other songs.
i am in a band which goes to different schools and am doing a side project (mixed band) compostions with my drummer friend who goes on here and started the drummer thread.
i am a fast learner and although i have only being playing for a couple of months i'm not crap nor a noob to it

And dude lemme tell you you're thinking what I was thinking when I had been playing for a month. I was like, "Man, I'll never be as good as any guitarist.." Next thing I know I'm playing half their stuff!

Basically just keep practicing.
