Well, in PSO+, there's a new challenge mode on episode 2. In PSO, when you complete episode 1 challenge mode, you obtain some itens, depending of how much time. But if you complete episode 2 challenge mode, you will obtain something?

of course...
otherwise there would be no reason to play it... kefka had a list of the weapons you could get.. and the max grind... it's in a thread in the challenge/battle/quest section...
