Is online worth it for Ep 1&2?

ok, so it is worth it. but for me it would be the trouble of getting the adapter for my GC

It is not worth it because:

You have to pay £30 for PSO

£30-50 for a BBA

you WILL get corrupted at least once or twice before you learn to dodge hackers

the servers keep going down

Ships crash

Hard to find anyone decent to play with

Grab a few GCs and you're good to go; there's almost never a time when I don't find someone I know online.

You're going to get kicked in the face either way. Either by ST not updating the servers, or by ST owning your characters in the case of BB. Hackers WILL be present either way, don't even start with the "BB is safer" bull because that won't be true forever. Online gaming without any problems is an unrealistic ideal, and it's best to drop it.

Yeah its worth it for sure. Dramatically increases your chances of finding the real rare stuff in pso and you level up quicker too, and the best part is you get to play with usually very skilled players all the time.

You dont "need" the keyboard. You can always use the stupid software keyboard. But in the long run getting a keyboard is why better.

Can't you just open up an AIM thing with the other people on your team? Wouldn't that be eaiser than a ASCII keyboard controller, keyboard adapter, or software keyboard? (That is, if your GC is near to your computer... and I suppose not everyone's is... but it has to be pretty close, unless you bought like a 30 foot Cat5 cable to hook the GC to the broadband modem.)

I got PSO+ for $30 and a BBA for another $30 (could have been $20, but I tekked it wrong ). And GBP are worth about 1.85x a USD, so those prices you said are way high.

Anti, also with the FSOD, that SPOSF firewall blocks alot of stuff, alot more than it did when you first posted it. It's now on version 1.87. And then backups stop the loss of items, and being smart stops the loss of characters.

Yes it is near my computer but the thing is. What if you dont have aim and dont have there msn address?

i haven't been online for an extremely long time, but i know that it's so worth it. It's a more fun way to raise a character because you are with other people that play the game all over the world. i can't guarantee that you wont get FSODed {i have been many times}, but if you are careful you won't have to worry about that. just deposit all of your unequipped items. there is always AT LEAST one great friend to be made every day. WAHOOOOO!
