Online gaming without any problems is an unrealistic ideal, and it's best to drop it.
Yep, you're right so just dont play PSO online at all. I was never going to say anything about BB, I dont play that anymore, I dont play PSO on any platform now!
And most people who do play online (GC) do get at least one corruption, if you havent youre lucky, I have had like 7.
EU ships go down to, especially Altair and the servers have gone down 5 times when I used to play. Playing online is luck, it's a gamble, depends who you meet, if you do happen to run into some real bad ass haxor who actually does know what theyre doing you can even end up getting NOLed. I have only ever seen that once on GC. As for finding people, I never really see anyone who speaks my language who is either not a black-hat hacker or a total ass clown.

Well BB is the big game now... and most of the big hackers who knew how to NOL and use proxies and such are now working on BB. So there are less of them as well. Not having any chance of avoiding corruptions? That might have been true in the day of a million people in Antares 8 and half of them script kiddies and hackers. Not now. I've only lost characters once and it was half my own fault and half of some idiot who told me to delete the sys file. :S I've never been corrupted... FSODed a few times, but I've actually had just about as many random FSODs as hacker-induced ones.
Where were you looking for people to play with?

XD I love seeing a good fight between BB and GC users, continue f00lz !
On a serious note, I loathe when people from GC try to convince people in the neutral position of contemplating which console to go Online for... I find it selfish for anyone in GC to convince neutral players to go GC, BB has many legit plays, you're very likely to find friends on BB (nonetheless stay with RF friends) moreso then GC. BB has worse servers then GC, and as stupid of a reason this may be you have characters on GC, those are the only reasons to go GC, really. My wallet will be butt-raped if I went GC Online >_>
Request: Come to BB, NetNomad, and um.. yeah, those are the only people I want on BB who are currently on GC

Does it really matter who you want to go to BB or not, I don't think so. Anyway, like the topic states, is it worth it for EP 1&2. The answer is yes, only if you already have the players you want to bring online for the first time. Otherwise, it would probably be better to go to BB if you are starting fresh, or just avoid both and wait around for PSU. It's totally your decision to make. I'm not trying to force you to go either way like most people are trying to.

I would just like to add PSU is actually much more irrelevant then recommending BB, PSU is only so much more different.

Read the end of my last post. I'm not recommending any of them.

I'm reccomending GC because BB is only a temporary arrangement; once PSU comes out its population will be sharply cut as well. And all those weeks and months spent leveling your BB characters will be for naught, unless you'd like to shell out the fee every three months to keep ST from dumping your characters in the BB Recycling Bin. >_>
So if you already have characters on GC, get on GC, play some rounds, then when you're done, move on to PSU and remember that you can always dust off your GC PSO characters for old time's sake.

Well those were the days I played in, dude. Besides the auto data correct on BB sorts NOLing, I know someone who got NOLed on BB but theyre back to normal now .
But, yeah I just play FFXI. To each his own, PSO is still the best rpg for offline multiplayer, no competition (except FF:CC if you have the money which I do, it kicks ass!)

Those days are gone, and so that shouldn't be a reason for not returning, is what I'm saying. But BB will have its "hacked to hell" day... maybe not by NOL, but by some other thing. Unhackable online games are an impossibility, drop the idea.
