Is online worth it for Ep 1&2?

Although BB is hacked, it is less so then PSO GC/XBOX because its server side meaning that they can restore your data.

There is no such thing as an unhacked MMO but some are far less hacked then others and I draw the line when my game is corrpted by others. You see that cant happen on BB, and most likely it never will because of server side restoration, unless a hackr took over the servers then it would be impossible. They still havent found a way to do that on Dreamcast!

well whatever you say I still think its more safe then GC and up until now I have been right. I think this trend will continue. Sure it will get worse but they store backups so even if they modified everyones data wed only lose like a few hours of gameplay at the most. Much better than full scale corruption!

So you're thinking it's impossible for a hacker to screw with your backup data, or simply turn off the flag that lets the server store backups at all? Heh...

Even if BB were unhackable, I wouldn't use it because I'd still consider it a futile effort; once you leave, your chars are toast...

Basically if you know how to detect illegit items, you're ok. Just look out for anything rare (look at the dropcharts to see how rare some things are), and/or anything with 90% or 100% (even though Photon Spheres are possible in MA, nobody would take that kind of time getting them and then just give the wep away), or a high hit%. There are only a few times you can legitimately accept good weapons, and they usually involve knowing the person offline or very well. A fellow SR member (legit clan) is going to trade me a certain Demo Comet with hit, but I don't know if he'll take anything for it or not (I offered, anyway).

But if you are, as Sephiroth puts it, "anal legit," do us a favor and be quiet about it. Keep in mind that legitimacy is not a black-and-white term; for most of us what matters is to use what you found or what you traded for, and no more. Example: I own three Frozen Shooters, one with hit%, and all have backup dupes. I could use the dupes of the one with hit just so that all my rangers could have one, but I consider that to be quite illegit. Anyway, I can honestly say that I've been on the recieving end of some elitism from "anal legits," just for backing up my stuff. Nobody wants to hear this stuff because they don't deserve it.

you are completely right. if you are careful and know what to accept, it will all go all right online. if anyone wants to go online, then they should do it. don't be afraid! just go for it!

BB would be nice, but im only going to have the one char on it. i mean, GC will be better because you hardly ever loose it (for all the other reasons someones said)

you are completely right. if you are careful and know what to accept, it will all go all right online. if anyone wants to go online, then they should do it. don't be afraid! just go for it!

I think it is totally worth it. Of course it is the only game I really have time to play and I have xbox version, so alot of the things I want are only available online. But to answer original posters question, It would be hard to convince parents to pay the monthly fee. I will keep paying it though, as long as my xbox lasts that long and my characters dont get erased( for a third time ) any input on how to avoid that calamity? Thx Laziness :beard:

Not impossible, less likely. Don't care about character deletion, Don't play anymore, but for those who pick BB over GC it is something to consider.

just one question about this- do all of the gaming systems link up? cuz I have played with some people who have said that they play on the computer or something like that- i have also had mail conversations with people in {Ship}/{Block}-{Lobby}-C1? What does this mean?
