I must agree with the syringe pit, it made me cringe
I thought the first one was alright and all but it really wasnt what I consider a good horror movie.

Saw is more of a suspense series then actual horror. I saw the second one today, I was very dissapointed. The first was better

I take your point Legato, although I felt the line between suspnse and horror was a fine one - sorry to hear you were disappointed by the sequel but as they say - differn't folks differnt strokes.

I finally got to Saw 2 myself last night. UK Jester summed it up quite nicely for me, actually. The two movies come fairly close in comparison in terms of relative enjoyment for me. I'd recommend it, if you liked Saw. If you haven't seen either, give 'em a try.

Yay! I finally orderd a copy of the Saw Special Edition from off the web. Now I have to wait for some poor bloke to wake up and dump it in an envelope, put on the wrong address and lose it at my own expense!

The eye thing at the beginning adn the syrine pit got me. I admit, I had to look away. The eye thingy wasn't so bad...but the syringe pit...well...I'm deathly terrified of needles, so that was horrifying to me. I LOVED the ending though! What a twist! You could almsot here everyone in the theatre inhale in rememberance of the first movie at the scene in the bathroom towards the end.
Saw a new movie coming out soon taht looks good. Anyone know anything about "Hostel" ?

Oh god, and I thought I was the only one scared of that part. By far that was one of the most gruesome parts of that movie that actually made me cringe. I hate needles to quite an extent, and I know it's bad enough getting two shots...but..oh god..all those syringes, and...yeah..;-; The ending for some reason wasn't as much of a twist to me as the first one was. Nonetheless, looking at the two as one, I loved the series, one of the much better movies that I have seen both this year and last.
Can't say I share your enthusiasm for the eye part. It just made my stomach do a bit of a backflip..and erm..churn a bit. Ah, the second one was alot more grotesque.
