Mm. Well, I always knew it as some terrible third-rate anime bootlegger.
Maybe now they'll change it to crappy *american* television.

Well, since I'm not going to read all the posts to figure where the topic strayed off to the inevitable demise of adultswim. I figures I'll try and bring the topic back on track so I'll say:

Saiyuki, and Get Backers

I believe it's "Neon Genesis Evangelion". My brother watched a few episodes before, but he never told me if it was good.

Personally I am very fond of Hartia. I do believe however, that Orphen is my favorite character.
Neon Genesis Evangelion is a good anime. It's solid, at least until the last two episodes, which you'll end up having to buy the OAV's. It is, however, a bit outdated and a little confusing. No man can really understand it completely, at least concerning the last two episodes. The creator of the anime just got off prozac when he created the last two episodes. Luckily enough the OAV's made up for those two "defunct" episodes, and it proves to be a solid anime...With the OAV's. That's what upsets me, the fact that it needed OAV's to actually redeem itself.
However, if you are a fan of NGE and you don't want the whole psychopath off prozac situation, I suggest watching Rah Xephon. It's very well animated and the story is great. The OAV is also very good.
Personally, I like Rah Xephon more than Evangelion.

The manga series is essentially the same. It's...slightly different.

I think NGE is trying to be to symbolic for its own good, most of the episodes just go completely over my head with a, "WTF JUST HAPPENED" look on my face. I do agree with orphen on Rah Xephon, or Neo Ranga, if you like that whole extraterrestrial vibe to come from you animes. I personally like the Wild Armz series, Witch Hunter Robin, Mezzo (gotta love the teen age girl single handed MAFIA), Haven't(but wants to) seen Gantz. Oh and Those who hunt elves, geez basically all of Anime Cannel. LOL! Najica Blitz Tactics...need I say more, Chobits(Chi is so a-friggin-dorable), and I can't request this enough, Saiyuki!!!!!
