I honestly didn't think of urine till everyone else seemed to be calling it 'wee' over the more obvious 'we'.
It is still an odd name though.

I'm soooo glad that the Xbox360 is apparently getting PSU, because I can't seem to get the foul taste out of my mouth in regards to Wii.
I thought Nintendo had enough problems selling their home console and home console games in the UK. Perhaps they watched the Producers and thought it would be a good idea! I'm an old bloke at 34, my wife is 31, we grew up watching comedies like Bottom and The Young Ones, all purile humour, and we died laughing at such a pathetic name. To be brutally honest, no matter how good your product is, if you have a negative issue about the product then people will focus on that more than anything else. Wii may work in Japan but I firmly believe that it will be a huge flop in the UK. Of a bigger concern, my stepson has told me about how kids get bullied or verbaly belittled over which consoles they have at school, he has stated quite clearly that he would rather have no game console than a Wii as he would not like to be on the receiving end of the abuse. (-14 years )It's obvious to say really that it's Nintendo Japan who came up with the idea (Maybe with the backing of Nintendo of America) - Good luck getting this to work in the UK Nintendo of Europe!

Yeah i agree i suppose this will get ripped to shreds in the uk and maybe stateside too. I will still get one though, and the software better be bloody awesome as well.

nintendo reveals a new console......they discuss opinions about the name.....and after all of this time they come up with "wii".
come on, this sounds more like a baby name to me, what does this means anyway........ when i think i hate nintendo because of the games/consoles no words are necessary, AND now the name.......name.........i simply do not understatd the purpose, but they do what they want.....so....go ahead with wii wii is not a name, what were they thinking?

I honestly do like it, as does everyone i have told about it, at least nintendo has the balls to use a name that the others wouldn't touch XD
and can you really say you won't buy a console because it has a silly name? Apologies to my fellow ragol.co.uk Teammates, i'm sorry for leaving you leaderless, and even more so for not getting back. but i wish you the best of luck in my absence! i miss you all! [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
