haha you guys have that stereotype in your heads. like someone said "be more open". it's not what you've got pictured in your head. download some matchbook romance or amber pacific. they arent whining into mics or crying or anything. if anything its very upbeat music with some screaming depending on the band. i tended to think of it the same way you did until i kept an open mind and listened to it one day.

listen to matchbook romance, thursday, underoath (not just emo, but they are listed in the genre), amber pacific, or the early november before you respond please. im serious too. just so you can see what im talking about.

im not talking about acoustic guitar with some guy in a monotone voice singing about how his life sucks.

lol..... just about half my class listens to "emo". and i can say... its basicaly preps and whatnot. add to that comment of myspace.... have you been ON it? if you actually looked at it.,.. theres nothing emo about it lol. i guess we can have linebackers for our school that are emo. i mean thats how it always works right? youre not doing any research before you say things. im not attacking you... just what youve said.

Listen, guys with myspaces.. is like a girl with her diary, except you want the world to see it. Simply emo's do use it with their gay little pictures and them cutting themselves and their silverstein shit in the backround playing.
Im saying then "Yes" those 13-25 year old people that do have a myspace need to get rid of it, Now.. Not because I want it gone, I know im not the only one. We dont need a page commited to peoples day's and how they are doing, Thats why you talk to them directly on msn or in person?

I listen to everything..... actually visist my myspace. notice how i dont keep note of my everyday actions on it and look into my music section. Im sure you can respect that fact that yes i do listen to bands like August Burns Red. i dont have silverstein playing in the background.... i have ska music. i dont havepictures of me cutting myself, i have pictures of me on snowboarding trips, of a concert, of me asleep in a box that i somehow ended up in at a friends house one night, of me next to my truck after offroading. and the whole talk to them in person thing... yes you can talk to them on AIM or in person. and i do. but when youre not and you remember something funny that happened. or have some little thing to say to them that you might forget. you can leave that as a "comment" on their page so they know you said it. just because i listen to some "emo" music, yes i keep using quotes cause we're on two different pages, doesnt mean im like the group you classify me with. i happen to listen to every single type of music known to man, except for like... tribal stuff. but you get the point. now before you make anotehr unintelligent remark about myspace or the music i listen to or say i update people on my life. go do research. visit my page. go download some of the bands i told you to. THEN you may speak what you will, because when you don't do this you make yourself sound uninformed and basically ignorant (and im using the correct form of it) of things and you make yourself a very closed minded person.
