Im not that huge on anime ... I dont watch alot and dont really bother with it because half of it is crap.
If your going to watch something it has to be exactly what your into, and love stories or soap operas arnt my thing you know?
I hate how people think some of the most pathetic animes are wonderful.
Inuyasha? wth? are you kidding me... There is nothign to that show whatsoever I find it the biggest cliche and bore ... it gets on my nerves.
Nartuo? its a friggen kitten kid with horrible drawing.
Plainly Im not into anime all that much.
But I can proudly say one always caught my eye and has to be Evangelion.
The blood, screaming and sheer gore.. Thats what you need in cartoons.

Well, people have different tastes, but what you just said would be cause for a warning on some forums. We all have ou own opinions about everything.I know people who would break your legs if you said that to their face.Although,i agree about InuYasha,i hate it.Blood and guts, huh?Try something like Arm of Kannon,or something like that.

For once, finally a person with a little bit of common sense! Regardless, however, it is a matter of taste, and a good anime can take any sort of story or plot and make it into a good one. I suppose it is partially a matter of taste, as far as which topics can tickle your fancy, but personally, I'm not one to care, as long as it's a well-made, well brought out anime, unlike the crap that everyone, no matter where you are, will not shut up about.
You see, my anime needs plot. A deep plot, but not a pointless plot that takes more than 50 episodes to be told.

If I don't know what lies beyond
Desire is now the one in control
Am I strong enough to not ever know just what I'd find?
Should I press on?

Actually, I've seen a few episodes of Naruto, and I have to say that it's not as bad you think. It's actually pretty cool. It's just really, really, really, long and sometimes, it's all talk.

whoever said talking was bad? its part of an anime.
Like .hack//sign is ALL talking and that has to be one of the most entertaining animes... what makes you want to hear the talking.. is the story

I don't think I can agree with that. .hack//sign was abysmal. It was boring, and had no force even remotely drawing me to it. I think all I like are the actual games. I can't wait for .hack//GU.
I don't know anyone with any common sense aside from the common Japan-infatuation people who think Naruto is a good anime. The most I have gotten from people with a keen eye for good anime, regardless of their tastes, as an "it's allright."

Naruto is good assuming you can meet two requirements when watching it. Dont start unless you can see at least the first ninety episodes without interruption in other words dont start watching till you have them all. Two dont watch the god awful cartoon network release of it download the undubbed subtitled version and you will see it has a pretty good if not a little predictable story.
