If you check the database, you'll notice the special for Berdysh and Tsumikiri J-Sword isn't exactly the same.
It's a terrible special, anyway, it uses PB, which you need for doing Photon Blast combinations. PB combo >>>> crappy, weak special.

Yeah, it may be a weak special but it is hella cool. The novlety wears off. It's not so strong but for style the TJS has to be one of the best weapons out there. I do agree Nomad that the SJS looks pretty cool, the glowy purple seal n' all. Mind you, yami looks pretty sweet. But that's not technically a sword, it's a katana.

The special sucks, it has the same power as a hard attack, so why not just use a hard attack?

It has two advantages, it hits a lot of targets, but that's hardly useful except against Dal Ra Lie or Barba Ray, and it cannot miss.

If you're surrounded by a lot of enemies in an area you miss alot on it sounds kinda useful Does it have the power of a hard attack even if you use it at like 20 PB though? Or do you have to wait until the PB is full? I never unsealed my SJS on GC. If you have to wait for 100 PB or if it sucks unless it's at 100 PB then yeah I guess it does suck as a special.

at 20, you can use it, at 100 you can do a combo.

ok, TJS is very stylish, comes with brag rights and has a cool spec. But I prefer the Soul Banish or Zanba to it.

Zanba,TJS,Agito '75.The three swords most likely to give insane bragging rights.Either way,though,its up to the individual as to what weapon they use.Power,or looks,most of the time you go for one,or the other.

If anything, we ought to pity those resorting to illegitimate and deceptive means of outfitting themselves with the game's most overrated and thoroughly mediocre sword.

There are other Beserk Swords that work much better, and are easier to get, without wasting your PB.
