Questions about Lame's Unseal!

Hello there! i have 2 questions about the way of unsealing Lame.
1:You need 10000 Kills to unseal it, if i kill 5000 and i give the weap to another person, i'll need to kill again the 10000?
2:The countdown of kills begin once the weap is max grinded? if its not, it will restart when it becomes?

1: No Lame become Excal after kill 10000 monsters, don't care who kills it (you or another person like... hum.... like a pretty HUne level 181....).

grinding doesnt affect it at all
