You could... uh... trade in your Ps2 for a slimline ps2? and then smile as it has a built in Network mode adapter? =D

T_T I have a slimline PS2, but I have nowhere to plug it in to the 'net. plus I have no credit card to pay for teh online-ness. So i'm screwed. I'd get a better computer, if I had the money... Or even an X-Box 360.

I pay mine via a Debit card, not a Credit card. *smart*

As long as it carries the Visa/Mastercard logo, you can use it. And surely you have a router you can plug your ps2 into?

Or are you...

*whispers*

dial up?

Cue girlish scream.

Hell no. I just stopped my computer sending my internet out by connecting to a dial-up connection that didn't even freakin' exist! Dial-up is the devil. I have a router, but it's downstairs, whereas the PS2 is upstairs. The router has to stay downstairs, or else lose the internet connection on two computers.

If worse comes to worse... get a HUB off of E-Bay, or a second router, or even a switch. Some aren't very expensive, then you can worry about the money for actually playing online. Technically $60 is the price of a new game for a modern system... and you can get 6 months out of that price, so uuh... instead of buying whatever game you want next you could get some online months for PSU. I bought a wireless router, with 4 Ethernet line-ins, and obviously wireless. That handles my laptop, a computer downstairs, my Xbox 360, and my DS.

£90. Not too bad. Ebay will get them even cheaper though.

I just have my trusty D-Link DI-604 wired router that's been hanging around with me for the past 3 years. *huggles it* It's a good router... that's a good router. *pets it* It hasn't given me even a speck of trouble yet... and considering it's been in near-constant use for 3 years... that's pretty darn good.

Drat. I'll have to get some more money, then...

I'll also have to figure out how to run four computers along with a PS2 at the same time.

Well a secondary router, or anything I mentioned above takes one split from your original router, and splits it into even more connections. With my setup at the foster home, the main router branches off to four rooms... within my room is my D-Link router, which gives me four more branchs within my room. So thus, there's a maximum of 7 internet devices running at one time, as long as four of them are within my room... if that makes any sense.
