So, I just played chapter 5, and seeing Ethan in his new outfit firsthand was awesome. He is definitely more badass now.

However, something has occured to me.

The Sochee Bomb's been designed by the Illumines, who are revealed here to be a group of human supremacists, to wipe out all non-humans in the Gurhal System, right?

So why is Magashi a member? It seems rather counter-productive for a CAST to ally with a group that plans on wiping him and all his kind out.

In addition, why would Ethan be searching for his father, or information regarding his father, in an Illumines hideout? It's quite strange...

Discuss. And no pointless Ethan bashing. (Looking at you, Pink.)

I'll go play it now, and formulate an opinion. =]

And who said Magashi was an ally? If they're human supremacists, they will (and probably do) see him as a weapon to be used.

I think that Ethan is investinating the Illuminatus for his own way. Maybe he doesn't trust the government.

Magashi gives it with some pride? He's a CAST =P he could be programmed to. Either that, or he doesn't know they're fundamentalists.

I'm betting Dallgun is of the Illuminus as well. They must be a well funded group to make A-Photon bombs, and he'd have plenty of money. Also, if Ethan found out he was, that's probably why he attacked him.

Here's betting that Olson Waber is the final boss.

I think that even if Ethan can't trust the government, he should be able to trust the few Guardians that spend time after time looking for him! But Laia always has to ruin it all by being all pooie about him! If I could just sit down and chat with Ethan for a while, I'm sure he'd start to understand who's on his side!
... And I'd ask him where he got his coat...
