Wasn't that a locked chest that was never supposed to be opened by mortals? And if it was opened, many evils would be unleashed?

Yes. . . That's the cause of all of the bad feelings. Grief, anger, jealousy. . . Stupid pandora.
REMEMBER: curiousity should be controlled to a degree.

True. That's why I said to a degree. Humans thrive on curiosity, so if we are never curious, then we'd die. Same though if you are too curious. Life's weird.

The only thing that wasn't let out was hope. She infact released humanities sins greed, lust, sloth, envy, gluteny, wrath, pride. It's such a shame.

. . . Everyone was perfect. Hope doesn't hurt, so it was already there. . . well I think it was. Well, how about the wonderful story of Argus. Who knows that one other than me?

Originally PANDORA was Pandora's box, meaning her vaginal area. Basically the myth goes that all things flowed from this: Strife, war, poverty, (an overt comment on the evil-ness of women), but also where hope flowed from. A promise of a future for the next generation. The myth has been skwered (badly) but it's premise remains the same. ![]() "How fortunate for those in power that people do not think"-Adolf Hitler

Haha, wow. I missed that part totally, and usually I can spot a sexual reference a mile off. I'm getting rusty.
Argus was a giant with 100 eyes, also called Panoptyes, which means 'all-seeing' in Greek, apparently. He was set to guard Io, the mistress of Zeus, so Zeus sent Hermes to kill Argus. Argus got turned into a peacock for some reason. |
