well, they could do to SCHTHACK what they did to Pokemon, in Pokemon Silver, Gold, and Crystal, they made it so u could interact w/Red, Blue and Yellow by a time capsule, which prevented you talking pokemon and items that werent in the previous version, if they could do that to SCHTHACK, then i dont see why it wouldnt work, but there would still be a few glitches, as there always are

lol i doubt it would work like pokemon, but the server could just make online lobby save only so they could junction the games together

so you could use all weps and gcers could get episode 4?
but it would be lobby save and your weapons would only stay online

lol idk
it sounds like it could work but i doubt it would Tongue

what if a jp item apears on a pso bb player......will it crash the gcuber?
Unless a player has the JP patch the weapon appears as a basic Saber.
Quote:thats a great question if they can play then wouldnt it be possible for a gcer to get bb items if players drop them, and i thought they couldnt play together
The drops for GC/BB on episode 1 and episode 2 remain the same; you will not find any rare BB weapons.

Problem is, GC and DC item drops are different, I was reading kireek's guide to ultimate mode, and it said something about getting a red handgun on forest, maybe in DC version, but the drops are different for GC, so if we went to forest, I would get a dragon slayer from a gulgus, and his DC would be like: wtf thats not right, and then he'd get a red handgun from whatever, and my GC would be like: waaaahhhhhhhh what the hell, they don't drop that... so on and so forth

in the server, the weapons are drped in codes, like item code 0000121, for me maybe a rare weapon, for you it may be a saber......this is an example
damage calcs are also made different, but as long you kill the other player will see also the criature die

Cross-Platform Game/Team Bug Listing

Terminology:

Platform: The machine or Operating System on which the game is being run on. Nintendo GameCube, Sega Dreamcast, and Personal Computer are all different platforms/systems.

Cross-Platform: When two or more users that run on different systems or platforms interact with each other in some way.

FSOD: Frozen Screen Of Death. Your screen is frozen and you can't soft-reset your system, causing loss of items or even character corruption.

Crash: Similiar to FSOD except that this usually only happens to PC users. It causes your game to shut itself down sending you back to windows or whatever OS you use.

Bug: The cause of something not working, crashing, or FSOD-ing. If recurring it often causes users to say "WTF" and slam their controller, mouse, or keyboard around.

Yosefu: The cause of every single bug out there, just kidding. Just some stupid guy that keeps talking about bears and posts on these forums while not doing anything important or playing PSO. "Yosefu" is the Japanese translation of the name "Joseph".

Bear: Source of Yosefu's food, fun outside of PSO, and part of his imagination. These "Bears" he speaks of are usually made up and are barely related to their actual naturally occuring bears of the real world.

One thing before you enter a Cross-Platform game that you should know!: PLEASE TRY NOT TO DROP ANYTHING IN A CROSS-PLATFORM GAME. Unless you are willing to lose it, or if its just useless to you. They sometimes end up either turning into different items, in mag's case they sometimes lose all their Photon Blasts, and some may just plain crash or FSOD someone.

Gamecube-PC Cross-Platform game-

Above the City Bug: This happens when you try to join a PC or DC Game, sometimes it won't happen though, it seems to just be luck of the draw right now. What happens is that after your character bursts into that Game Room you appear to be invisible, or in first person mode looking down at the city where the teleporter to the Principal's Chamber is. The remedy for this is to hold A+B+START+X and let the game restart, you won't lose any items or anything. At least I didn't. (Threat: Not to big if you know the remedy, only bad thing it will usually cause is the player having to log back into the ship. I guess it's bad for lazy people in a way.)

Technique Bug: Gamecube users cannot cast techniques on PC users. Star Atomizers seem to be a substitue for Resta at the moment.

Boss Teleport Bug: GC users playing with PC users (or vice versa) cannot fight bosses (I guess. Haven't seen what happens, only heard of it.). A solution for right now is have the GC user activate the Teleport Pad and have the other members of the Team/Game Step into it, This solution has been confirmed to work. (Threat: Bad for TTF, and a bunch of other quests. Not to mention the whole "play the game online" part.)

Electric Gate/Fence Bug: If a GC or PC player presses one of these switches the GC user will FSOD. A solution would be to tell your team not to press them before entering an area. (Threat: High, preventable)

Movement Bug: Either player will see the other player maybe getting stuck through walls or appear in another area suddenly. This doesn't necessarily mean that user is cheating, its just that the cross platform game seem to have a problem "seeing" the movements. Basically looks like they are lagging. (Threat: Not to bad, just kinda watch out for your teammates.)

Lobby Wall Bug(s): If you see a person walking through a wall or falling through the floor its just because the lobbies are different on yours and their screens. No cheats involved (usually). (Threat: Is there really a threat here?..)

Dreamcast-PC Cross-Platform game-

In DreamcastV2 to PC there is a bug during challenge mode in C9. I believe it to be in the last area before the boss, there is a long hallway with two switches. If a PC user pushes the switch to open the door the Dreamcast users will crash. If a Dreamcast user pushes the switch the PC users will crash.

In Dreamcast to PC also because the dreamcast has longer load times, The dragon, de rol le and vol opt battles will begin before the dreamcast user can do it. this doesnt cause much of a problem in that the dreamcast game will move really fast for a moment to catch up. Though I have heard of some weird issues durning Vol Opt in TTF.

If a Dreamcastv1 user tries to join a ship with Gamecube users in the lobby the V1 player will FSOD.
(Sorry Nico, I know this is a total rip of your post below but I'm tired. Thanks for the reply! I'll try to put it together better later lol)

Gamecube-Dreamcast Cross-Platform game-

Dreamcast PSO version 1 users cannot interact with GC Users.

Gamecube-Dreamcast-PC Cross-Platform game-

Combine all the bugs from this whole listing and just imagine the chaos this would cause.
"I noticed that it happens (often) when a GCer enters with a PCer. If the PC person leaves after somebody from Dreamcast enters then the GCer enters, it seems to work fine. Maybe nobody has tried this as it does require somebody from every platform?

Also, it might just be me, but I have noticed playing with GC alot that DCv2 seems to play alot smoother with GC than PC. Items are treated like v1 and you can't cast reverser on GC players, but I've never had a seriously major glitch that resulted in having to reset or crash (not being able to battle a boss with GC sucks, but it's understandable) from playing with GC and DC together." -GyroVorbis [Thanks! ]

Common Sense Stuff: PC and DC players, playing with a GC player will not "magically" allow you to play episode 2 unfortunately. (lol, you won't believe how many of my friends asked me this..)

Well again guys, if you know of anymore bugs that I don't, don't be shy, post to the sky!
