I have to agree with you there nomercy i think he should consider what we HAVE accomplished and apply that before making those kinds of comments and scientists idiots? so that must mean stephen hawking is just talking out of his arse. i dont think so somehow. I'm not the smartest person out there but i think you at least consider the facts before making that "assumption" that we can't live on the red planet

Precisely. As I've already stated, multiple times, in fact, scientists are far from being idiots. Just because this high-school lamer thinks so, doesn't make it true, though he so fervently believes otherwise.

i'd like to get a final "word" on this topic.

I believe that we can go to mars, i believe that with the way things are going now with all the troubles in the world we shall have to erm "postpone" that mars "jump" until we have definitve proof that we can transport materials/food/water/pso/your parents/it doesn't matter we just need to hold off on the little tit bits and focus on the bigger picture. IT IS POSSIBLE/PLAUSIBLE AND SCIENTISTS ARE NOT REPEAT NOT IDIOTS.

oh and i'm trying to get to 2000 posts but that may be a while aaanyway I would like to see this topic ended before harsh words are exchanged and we run out of space.
