Really...how completely irrational of you to speak that way about human lives. Every life is precious, we should not take that kind of attude about it. People die in war, it is true, but saying "Many more will die so suck it up" is just wrong. I saw a game on Warcraft 3 that's name was "War is good cuz ppl die". This particular comment of yours reminds me of that heartless jackass who made that game.
In short, do not treat human lives like expendable recources, they are more precious than anything else.

first, sorry for putting it so bluntly, I guess I was trying to make the statement sound more intense but it really wasn't. 2nd of all, stepping cautionly around will not win this war any faster either. Taking our time to liberate every country will only mean that the next is better prepared and better armed. I know human lives are not expendable but in the long run, many more will be lost than there should have been if we don't make sacrifices. Now, I don't mean throw those lives away on some suicide mission but people should not be angry because men and women were lost honorably in battle defending people who deserve/are entitled to freedom. If you value lives so much (I do too, again, sorry), then you should see the point of the Iraq War. People used to get slaughtered in Iraq, not they have a chance to voice their opinion. Innocent men, women and children were murdered just because they were foreigners. You couldn't turn to the police to protect you, no, they were in league with Sadam. Now, again, you value lives? then why not value the lives to the Iraqi people as well?

I value lives very much, but here we have tons of Iraquis being slaughtered as collatteral damage from the insurgent blasts. I say that if Bush and the allies would have gotten enough troops to end the insurgency quickly, we would be in an entirely different situation.
Thank you for applogising about the human life thing... I just get really angry when people treat human lives like money.

heres the problem, by the time we decide, bicker and what not, Sadam would have dug in and been better prepared. I know the Iraq war shouldn't be the US's responsibility but the United Nations has decided not to fufill its promise to humanity and give everyone the right to exist. I mean, here were born and we don't have to worry too much about being lined up and shot but in Iraq, mass genocide was happening, small children didn't get the chance to grow up or live their life. I think the UN should step up and take a more active role in the future, but right now, the US should finish what they started. A lot the European countries seem intent on sticking to themselves that not helping others. Everyone has the obligation to live and to get the chance to exist, I guess Europe doesn't share this.

You make a good point...
But, I still think that we should have had more countries in our coalition (sp?) then just the UK and assorted troops here and there from other nations.
We needed an alliance of many. Not an alliance of one.

In a small way I am glad Bush won the election... Simply because he needs to pick up his toys... And by that I mean: After all of the lives the US has taken in Iraq, and all the lives that we have lost as well, it would be stupid to just pack up and leave... It's like when taking an antibiotic for a bacterial disease... If you don't finish the medication as perscribed, the disease will just come back stronger than ever...

Everyone is supose to help, its a given that your supose to protect others of your race, were all human you know. The UN was supose to end the mass genocide but instead, they decided to fight murder with words (as in sanctions). what does Sadam care, as long as he makes money, it all goes to him.

now, he is, thanks to the US and some of the European allies that decided to go, I'm talking about long before when the UN kept sanctioning him while his profaine acts were being done.
