Official DS vs PSP thread
#1
Well here is my argument for the side of the DS.

I will get a DS because
1. It's nintendo, No I'm not a fanboy or anything but let's say somthing would happen and the gaming systems would loose all there knowledge for like 5 years back or some law is passed that all games must be 2D(yeah like thats going to happen)... who would have
the upper hand? Nintedo.

2.The price, as far as I'm concerned Nintendo doesn't screw people over and charge 300 some dollars for something that will go down 50-100 dollars in a couple of months. They start there consoles/handhelds lower than anyone else. From what I have heard the DS will be 150$ and the PSP will be 300$.

3. Nintendo has experience in the handheld genre. They have been succesful since the original gameboy. I will probably get a DS before April and then see what my friend does. Whether he doesn't surprise me and get a PSP or gets a DS (mind you this is the same friend that said the only good game on the N64 was Goldeneye... yet he thought Superman 64 was good)

4. The PSP has what 90 minutes of gameplay? I'm not sure if it's official but the battery life of one screen (they said you need batteries for both) will be well over 6 hours. Plus can you send wireless messages with the PSP? No, DS? Yes. The same site that told me about the batteries also said that you can just turn on the DS and start doodling without anything in it. I don't know about you but I could doodle for about a week before getting really board of it.

5. It looks cooler. I don't know about you guys but I like the kinda bulkiness of it. My friend (same one about the N64) said that it was way to big to play on. Yet he won't by a S-Type controller for the XBox because he doesn't like small controllers. Did he just contradict himself? I think so.

DS gets my vote from looking at various debates such as this one.

My DS should arrive from America in a few days, so I will know then if I made the right choice ^_^

I like both but I voted for the DS because I know a lot more about it than I do about the PSP.

DS. I have to say *starts sing* two is better than one *thud* ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Anyone caught smoking at Layer Road will be buried in the
centre circle by the forking groundsman, with only their head
showing, and left there during the second half.
Previous threats of electrocution, being made to listen to Will
Young and being hung from the floodlights have
failed to discourage all the smokers.

If Cardiff players had to stand and pay respects to an English national anthem, would they? I don't think so.
But Arsenal players manage to do it.

It's a poorer version of the DS. It's like the DS, and has most of it's features, but with only half of the capicity to run them.
