if you add up all the damage on each separate monster you probably do more, infact definitely. BUT, because you dont kill them 1 by 1, there is a longer amount of time for them all to surround you :$

You've probably noticed that most people try to be legit here, so using PDs to boost a weapon is right out, it's hard enough to gather enough PDs to add a special to S-Ranks. Besides, boosting mechguns is incredibly useless, % only affect the weapon's ATP and mechs are very weak, so it's pointless.
Keep your PDs for adding specials to S-Ranks or buying stuff like Blue-Black Stone, etc.

Actually, when you are SD and the monsters are JZed, it can actually be useful if you have good hit on it. for example:
in Ult mines, i used vulcans with 30 hit and 100 towards MC, plus SD and JZ, and it owned all the gliches in the mines.

100% Machine on Vulcans will make you deal about 20 more damage in Ultimate, this is NOT worth all the PDs.

I need to check my vulcans on their real stats,
EDIT: got stats. fixed post a bit, memory isn't 100% accurate on this situation.

Here's how i use my vulcans+9: I use it with a lev. 131 humar, my ATP base is around 1025 and i use vulcans with 90 MC and 40 hit (with vulcans: ATP is 1123). i also have very good ATA (192) and Luck (80). And I hit with the vulcans about every time. add JZ and SD to this and i can do about 148x3 normal attack and 251x3 on hard attack (usally i use: normal, hard, hard). Add my luck stat, which is at 80 (yes, i used alot of luck mats), and i can hit around 500 on a hard attack frequently. I use a S-rank slicer with Zalure and S-red blades to SD, so thats how i have the S+D and the Zalure at once. And I realized that I don't completly own there. But its good to have in team games (Thanks to Darkthrone for giving me the vulcans.)

Remember, no monster in the Ult. mines do not flinch, metle attacks are just asking for trouble, 3 glichichs coming to you are trouble, and they'll won't flinch and they'll pound you, even if you use a TJS.
Also, the vulcans are very useful for the glichichs in the ult. mines, hitting them 9 times has a higher chance to knock them down and for me it does more damage while staying safe. then whip out the BKB/red sword and pound the glichich (or 2) remaining.
