THEN THEY SHOULD BELIVE IN THEMSELVES... *calms down* instead of something made up by who nows who. In regard to your "holy book" thing that I forgot to reply about before, they can be twisted and mutated to what they want people to belive.

Faulkie Wrote:It's spiritual guidance, some people like having something to believe. If you think about it, almost the entire Earth's population is religious. Religion is the force that drives people to do whatever they believe in. RELIGION isn't for the weak.....actually religion is what conquerors. If you would like to refer to religion in history. Religion played a HUGE part in history, if anyone could happen to recall hearing about the Crusades. Which is a "holy" war that the Pope had used to obtain his power in these different states. The Pope had used his 'knowledge' of God to get these Knights that were all fighting in the streets to come together and remove all sin from everyone that joined the Crusades. Even today, I feel that religion is as it was hundreds of years ago......a driving force for the common people. ![]() "Let us walk together. So long as we walk together, I will protect you" - Tsukasa

The Dead Sea Scrolls prove absolutly nothing. In FACT they will never be released .....'wanna know why.....because those are from the original Bible. The scrolls tie in closely with his family........as in his brothers and sisters, as we all know if the Lord were to have family then every Christian would commit masichistic suicide because that would crumble every Christian belief, built around Mary being a virgin, to the ground. Go read parts of the Da Vinci Code then surmount the evidence with the Scrolls not being released and its pretty easy to see through religous flaws. Go watch Dogma and take some ideas you have about religion and compare them to what you know as fact. Then kick God in the his holy arse and find something better to believe in, like building better family values. Like I say, you only go around once make the best of it.

i don't agree with almost anything you have said, Sesshomaru you have a point religion isn't for the weak, but for the strong minded and for the physically strong as well.Teh EkwEE you have a point, "you only go around once make the best of it", but what after we are done in this place, what then, will we become ghosts and hunt the living or will we rott in our graves or is there something more, i am curious to hear anyones's thoughts on this.

Like I say, you only go around once make the best of it.Some groups of people are actually committed to their religion.....take the Warrior code of Bushido, I'd consider it to be similar to religion due to the fact that the Samurai were completely dedicated to this code of "HONOR" that if they lost a single battle, they would committe ritual suicide. During world war 2, these Kamikaze fighter pilots were crashing their planes into the ships because of what they believed in (the pilots themselves were volunteers). People want to believe that when they die, they will go to a better place and basically live forever. In my thoughts, its just a load of crap.......and as far as saying that we'll turn into ghosts and haunt the living, I have to say that from what some people have seen, and recorded, I'd say that actually becoming a ghost is quite possible. I've watched some weird shows on the discovery channel that had documentaries of those that have seen ghosts, and some of the best ghost sites in the world. I'm rambling on alittle too much, so I'll leave it at that for now. ![]() "Let us walk together. So long as we walk together, I will protect you" - Tsukasa
