I dont think that cheats are approprate for this game! This game is meant for no cheats and that is the way it should be! Comment on your feelings!

Technically most of us could sue Sega for breach of contract, as since we pay for out subscription, we're paying for the maintenance of the game, and Sega are doing sweet FA about all the cheating recently, unless they get like a billion complaints.

Also, you could sue the cheaters too (attempted damage to data), and companies such as Datel, (3rd party involvement to the above stated).

The problem is though, that most people either don't realise this, are too dumb to do anything about it, or can't afford taking it to a cival court.

1.) Datel has already been sued.
2.) One of the good things about playing PSO is your ability to remain an anonymous (if i can spell it correctly...) player, so sueing individuals would be difficult. Also it would be ST who would have to sue them and as you said they do "FA" about anything.
3.) You would need alot of money to take an international fairly large and succesful games company to court.

These things said, it is true that players really shouldn't cheat on PSO, well, online anyway. If we were meant to cheat at it, they would have made some crappy "cheat menu" or something. It is however, perfectly legal to cheat online if youre on a proxy server, unfortunately... Cheating is not moral online, is illegal online (anthough sonic team will do jack all dont worry) and makes an already simple game... simpler!

1. True, but not by an individual, merely by a company.
2. In a legal situation, Sega would have to release the information about a specific user, or face charges themself.
3. I wasn't just stating you could sue Sega, also, you could sue the individual.

Also, no matter what server you're on, you're not allowed to cheat as it still classifies as modifying copyrighted game coding.

i only ever cheat on games that i have completed and want some extra fun but whats the point in getting all the items for free in PSO WHERES THE SATISFACTION

ilove the cheats where you make everyone have big heads lol
i use cheats on grand theft auto aswell because i think it makes it more fun. because looking round for weapons and ammo when an army tank and helicopter is chasing you is just plain UNFUN

Well then again what about the young ones that play that dont know that they ARE cheating?

like take my sister for example she doesnt know shes cheating and using hacked items. people just give her stuff and she takes it and then shes got hacked stuff. seee if people started sueing everybody little children would be sued or actually their parents.

But I could totally see doing it to someone thats level 4 and using CHU CHU FEVER or something like that I could understand sueing them cuz then you know they know what they are doing. But the whole cheating thing is pretty redicolous <--(I can't spell hahah)
