I was just wondering when I set up my Gamecbue to get online, will a longer length of cable cause the gaming to go slower? I'll be using a BBA (BroadBand Adapter) and Ethernet Cable to set it up.
I was thinking, that because the Gamecube is in my room (all the way upstairs) the cable would have to be really long in length. And if its going to cause the game to be slow I might as well have it downstairs on the T.V. In the end, it may save me money, it may not.

no. It will not matter in the slightest. Even streching a cable that has loss free connection, around the globe wouldn't have much impact! The signals are sent at the speed of light (or at least very close). So for the scientists among you that is 3^8 m/s. (I think). For the none scientists,it is
VERY fast.:p

Ok thanks for that. I heard something about LAG, which is supposed to make it go slow or something. Thanks again.

A lag is when the servers start playing up normaly because there are too many people and things happening causeing it to slow down.

I think theres an option so you can change the length of being idle before getting disconnected, if thats what you mean ? Otherwise its probably your ISP :o

Theres an option on the game and you set it to how long you game has to be left idle before it dissconnects. You might want to change it, as it may have something to do with it.
