In need of a good Rifle

Ive just got into Ultimate and wondered what the best Rifle would be for my RAmar...

Something thats quite quick and easy to get (if thats possible)

Pipe Hildetorrs in Forest (Forest of Sorrow quest, or CDFS), as a Purplenum you have a 1/2 chance at a Frozen Shooter. These are godsends for all Rangers, and they keep you quite safe while also providing some helpful support if you are playing on a team (they're miracle guns in the tower ).

Frozen Shooters are good for support, but not sheer power... I can't remember what my friend has on his RAcast.

You can freeze something with the FS, quickly switch to a pair of mechs and then do damage with those. That's what I do. Quick freeze, switch to my Red Saber, Red Mechgun or Twin Brand, and strike.

Yeah, power is not the FS's strong point, and in battles like Dark Falz you'll be better off pulling out a Justy. But it's still manegable; I use it as my top gun just continuously firing it while the hunters do damage, and when I want to do long-range damage I just pull out my mechs.

I find it the most useful against the Delbiters, as those things do tons of damage. Thank god my RAcaseal has tons of defense, but those things can still dish it out. Of course, standing up on a ramp they can't climb is useful as well.

FS is definitely the first thing to go for. The only other Rifle Purplenum gets are the Anti-Android Rifle (1/1050 from Temple Merlan). There's also the Yas 7000V from S-Zele (1/900) but it doesn't have the range of a rifle, it just shoots like it. The Yas 9000M is best gotten from C-Assassins in Temple (1/788) and it is a Mechgun with Rifle range. (really good)

So your best bet would be Temple runs after you reach about level 75 and have gotten a Frozen Shooter. There are 7 (Lillies and Rappies) or 8 (crushers) C-Assassins in Temple1 and 8 of them in Temple2; make sure not to skip over any.

Edit: 1/358 from a D-Bringer will drop the Bringer's Arm which can be made into a Demon's Rifle.

Yasminkov 7000V is not a very good rifle.

Frozen Shooter is a must-have, Yasminkov 3000R, Ano Rifle, Anti Android Rifle and Bringer's Rifle are very good rifles for a Ranger.

Purplenum can't get the 3000R (Greenill only, best from Mines Gillchich, 1/1050) or Ano Rifle though (Redria from S-Zoa, 1/1050; or Oran/Greenill, Elipson, 1/1050 :O ).

Kefka didn't make the d-base, he just has afdded a crapload of content the admins didn't care to do. Thank god for Kefka! He even added drop rates off enemies for some... Where he finds the time I have no fucking idea.
