I can't blame anyone for wanting to wipe out the bad guys after their country is hit by a terrorist attack killing thousands of people. But the problem still remains that two groups of extremists are the cause of why such a terrorist attack took place and a questionable war is taking place as we speak.
In the end the most important thing is that two extremist groups are using lies to try to gain power. If what I was told as a child is true, Religion isn't about trying to wipe out the other Religions/Countries/Cultures with terminal violence, nor is it about trying to control the whole planet.
Damn it, I've dragged myself into this thread!

I am Prodistant(sp?). Although I havn't been to church in a long time. I find it boring. I also hold all other religions in high regard. They are all equal in my books.

I think that's a pretty good view, I would find it hard not to see some religions over those where it is seen holy to blow yourself up...

In regards to the guy that said some crap about peer pressure, and whatnot. If you NEED evidence people are forced into religions just look at Africa where thousands die every day and millions are infected with aids. The U.S.A and many other countries send aid, but I don't see any other religious affiliations other than Christian missionaries who say "Convert, embrace Jesus and he will set you free.........Oh, yeah and we'll feed you and give you medicinal aid." 'nuff said.

maybe cuz the US goverment, other countries and christain organizations are the only who ones help, and whats so wrong with giving starving people food and they what to hear what we have to say. i'm sure that they like the US goverment for giving them food and they will listen to what they have to say, and the same thing goes for christains.(same goes for medician and other stuff)

Oh,well I say let 'em starve. They're dying of AIDS anyway.

Just because they are dying of aids doesn't meen they aren't people either. They have a right right to live just as much as you do they are just going to die earler then you, mabey. Let fait deside that and I will be waiting for you.

So, if you got AIDS, it's be okay if we just let you die? No. They're human, like us, just unfortunate to be where they are. You could've easily been born in Africa, then how would you feel about being let to starve?

i feel almost guilty about bing as well off as i am compared to some poeple, that's why i think it is good for anyone to help them even if they tell them about a religion or not.
