maybe, or bombs. yeah bombs work really well. and pressure mines, and grenades, and rocket launchers like bazookas except they'er shots explode and cuase lots of damage!

Wow...the madness that has become this thread, excellent! Hmmmm...here are some other ideas that hit me.
Phonton tonfa's, that can be a six combo melee or have guns on the bottom(like Elly's if anyone here's seen the anime, Rave Master).
Or maybe chain weapons, like flails, or even staffs with spiky photon flails on the ends for more range. (Think of a more out of control demo comet.)
Or even leg based weapons, like photon bladed boots or a dagger class for your legs.
ya and if ur weppon breaks u could pull a dagger outa ur boot and use it like a bomerang but really fast
