Yeah....sports games suck.
Right now the PSP wins in my book just because of Untold Legends. DS has no interesting games. Once they both have been out for a while, they'll get better games and you'll be able to pick better. There isn't enough choice right now.
Exactly...I was only basing my comments on what was curently out..
I read a comparison of the PSP and the DS in Electronic Gaming Monthly. One of the perks of the PSP was that it had the capability to display something like ~16 000 000 colors whereas the DS was somewhere in the range of ~360 000. =o!
Wow...thats a big color difference..I guess it would make sense, seeming how the PSP's graphics and all..

The PSP can display games and movies because its basically a small flatscreen TV, where as the Nintendo DS can only, as you have said, bring out approx. 360,000 of them colours. Not to much to worry about with games, but with the PSP also playing movies, its probabily best to have the extra colours for that.
Having played on a Sony PSP at work, i have to say its dam addictive! Although i only play on Dynasty Warriors (Possibly the only reason i'd have for buying a PS2 in a need of desperate actions!), its pretty fun, although, as always, loading takes forever, the screen gets easily marked (More so then the DS, and you dont touch the PSP screen!), and the battery life is very short. We keep it plugged in to show customers
I'd buy it if i had loads of spare cash and it had maybe a few more reasons to buy then DW, otherwise its a miss, which it is atm.
i'll give you a reason...Final Fantasy Advent Children!
That's true, Lee. The DS doesn't have features such as DVD, etc., like the PSP does. So, the truth be told, it doesn't need the capability to display as many colors, as it really doesn't need them!
ds every time. one day everyone will realise that psp is just a handheld ps2 which everyone will play at home still because the battery lasts 10 minutes. when people realise that they are buying essentially the same bit of software for their psp in 95% of the case they will move to ds hands down. creativity and originality will rule the day. sorry guys this is not to wind anyone up, this is just an opinion of someone who has used the ds and the psp lots since overseas release.

I would say that the good part of the PSP is that it has so many extra features and better hardware capability gamewise. The bad part is that it is WAYYY overpriced unlike the DS. My verdict: Both if you have a lot of spare cash, DS if you don't (PSP just costs too much on my meager budget).
this should of been a poll aswell
the ds is the best in my eyes, my mate has one and he lent it to my for 1 day
next thing he knows the battary has gone after me playing it all day... its just so cool super mario 64 and wrio-ware are so additing.
i have not played the psp but i have seen one in actsion and played on it for 5 mins, but the games on a psp are not my type of games.but more ds games are my type so thats my views anyone conplains just pm me
