I see no problem with it. If you say it's unfair because it's easier to do, then I say that the hours of extreme boredom definitely make up for that. Besides, ST put it in there, and they even suggestedd that we use it, so....

in ver.2 i need to do the pipe trick (the rare criatures in ver.2 for dc are more rare than in the gamecube ep1&2) or can do the old way doing the caves and the forest over and over until i fin them.
i never found the hildeblue or the hildetorr.
Piping=legitness no matter what people say.
People might say piping is illegit because it gets rare enemies faster... but keep in mind that piping gets INCREDIBLY boring, and in one sense it's a measure of determination... just like doing hunts. The only difference is you're actually killing things to get to that point, but the tradeoff is that you don't get any exp through piping except from the rare enemy itself (and any you have to mow down to get to it).
I've piped a lot of stuff, including my two rarest weapons (Lavis and Rainbow Baton). I love seeing rare monsters, and sometimes that little jolt you get when you see one appear makes the piping worthwhile (which is not to say I pipe for more than an hour at a time, and I don't do it nearly as much as I used to do now that I'm online).

I piped for lavis to make d.c. I consider it legit otherwise the exploit would have been removed by sega surely.............
there is also the "change the weapons atributes,grid and percentages" this is also legit because it helps just like the pipe trick
sure its legit. if you care to spend so much time in trying to find a rare enemy, then sure you earned it.
