uh is there a page that's english?
now the agreement thing is in a language I can't read. instead of sending me one in english just tell me whether or not there's anything I don't want to agree to> (I doubt it but I want to be sure)
nope, everything is safe
different topic.a lot of people on here say they're good at hacking. where'd you guys learn? I'm not all too interested in hacking but I want to get good with computers. although it'd be interesting to know how you guys learned to hack, epescially the "batch bomb" no mercy claims he is capable of creating.
There are some sites where they have some sort of challenges for you to do, each challenge was designed for you to develop a skill, but before you do them they recomend you to read some guides that have a general information about hacking.

I can't give you much info, but google is your friend.
His batch bomb was just a .bat file, which if I remember correctly is tied into the old MS DOS schematic of things, which was built to trick a computer into thinking either;

A) RAM usage had exceeded computer limitations, and would therefore shut itself off.
or
B) Delete a series of files in the system32 folder, which includes a computer's operating system.
once again I don't really have much interest in hacking anyways. the only thing I really wanted to know was about the batch bomb. doesn't sound like something I'd do but you never know. the only reason I'd do hacking is if I could see the look on the person's face when their 5000$ computer breaks down after the first day. I'd restore it if that's possible though. if not then I wouldn't. I'm too nice to cause lasting harm to somebody I never met.

also google is not my friend. we got into a fight a while ago and now we're bitter enemies Tongue
sorry for the double post.

what's the best way to learn about computers short of taking a computer class? I'm looking for a reliable at home thing because I'm on a very low budget. so low in fact there's nothing in it.also do computer programming books help in any way? I got like four of them at my local library which unlike google is my friend. I just want to know if there's a better solution because each one is about two inches thick

and recently I got what I believe to be a pop up virus on my computer. a message keeps popping up that says it's from AVG. we have AVG on this computer so it's possible that this is an update but doesn't AVG pretty much allow you to choose whether or not to update and stay like that? this thing is like a whiny little kid that won't shut up. is it a pop up or can I trust it? if not how do I get rid of it? I already tried deleting my computer account and making a new one but it didn't do anything. is there a remedy?
get NOD32, some malware protection (lots of free ones), Spybot search and destroy and that other one, can't remember the name.

If problems persists: goto start, run, msconfig, check the startup for anything unwanted and remove, boot in safe mode and remove the offending DLL or EXE.

Make sure all java and service packs are up to date.

Failing the above methods wipe the computer clean and start fresh Smile
