The only purpose grievance has is to express emotions that simple words or gestures cannot completely fulfill. People cry to express their deepest sorrows & regrets, or their most joyous accomplishments or happiness. Different people deal with loss in different ways: some cry until they can no longer anymore, some pretend that they are okay and bottle up their feelings, and some truly just live with their loss and move on. Because that's ultimately what must happen: no matter the loss, you must move on.
"Time Travels,
People Move,
Like a River's Flow,
It Never Ends."
~Sheik, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
That quote sprang into my mind and..it's true. Time rolls ever onward, and we must go with it. The most important thing you can do for someone you have lost, is to remember. If he or she is always held fast in your heart, that's the strongest bond that exists; and you will always be united.
