At last, another Online DS game... and an RPG! Oh and maybe Pokémon too!

Talking of RPG's, i've found some more news regarding more DS Online-ness that i think will make a few more people smile:

...it appears that we can all look forward to the DS's first proper Pokémon RPG incarnations, Diamond and Pearl, with fully functioning Wi-fi Connection play.

Speaking on the Gamefreak website, Pokémon director Junichi Mysada has revealed that the developer has big things up its sleeve for the forthcoming DS games. As well as making full use of the handheld's "special" features - that'll be touchscreen, mic and magical teleportation button, then - Pokémon Diamond and Pearl will follow in the footsteps of Mario Kart DS et al by being fully online. Although it's all still in the early stages of planning at the moment, it looks like online battles and chat are on the cards. Hopefully though, Nintendo will finally relax a little and ease some of its Draconian Friend Code measures which have so far hampered Mario Kart DS and Wild World from becoming true online greats.
