IV will never reach the console version.
1.) There is no team play system which may be required making it incompatible.
2.) The engine may have changed ever so slightly making it incompatible.
3.) ST don't give a monkeys about the old games now.
4.) Things altered for ep IV wont be able to be so easily changed on 1&2 because the data is hard stored on a disc and cannot be changed (except online)
5.) If you took a rare from episode IV online offline the data for that weapon could not be understood because there would be no record of such a weapon, unless when you collected it a note of the data required to create it offline were to be stored on your memory card as a kind of "Ep.4 data" file. Can you imagine ST bothering to do that, ever?
I have more reasons, but it is hideously unlikely such a thing will occur. Plus it will be ruined by AR newbies again, so the PC version really is better.
