Your Opinion on Hacks & Cheats

to add to this, i think Sega should make a central server (like how we have US, EU, and JP) specifically designed for cheating... but if you're caught cheating on the regular servers you can still be banned.. i think it would alleviate the problems between legits and cheaters.. just my opinion though...

that sounds like a good idea,
buT what happens when someone gives a legit player a hack and the legit gets banned while the hacker still running around doing the same to others?

well, i don't think legits would be going on a cheat server... and bringing the hacked items onto the legit server would get you banned.. so i don't know of any other way a legit could end up with a hacked weapon...

Easily gets out of control, doesn't it?? How much responsibility does the Sega team have by releasing the game on Gcube and Xbox knowing full well that it has already been hacked to the hilt with Dreamcast, and the hacks are easily transfered over. You'd think they'd put some protection against such actions before releasing the game, instead of laughing all of the way to the bank.

it's not that easy, because if they did that they would be blocking the codes they use to create the wpns in the first place, so initialy it would stop all wpn drops completely

There are several things that could have been done, I'm no tech person though. But to block the unsealing of the "j" sword ,the code for the Red Ring if you weren't going to allow it in the game, i wouldn't think it to be that difficult. Or could something be done to block transfering items from a computer to the box?
