Well, DZ, I hope you find your dog - I truly do. But let's stop focusing on the negative; lost dogs, the tragic losses, and focus on the positives. What we can all do to remember.

yeah the positives one of the positive things that came out of me losing ashley was being kinder to people and getting another girl friend, i also put more efforts into my drawings cuz he always said if i did they would be better.

Sorry that happened Jay... And other sad people... But look at it this way, when you flip a coin, it's like a fork in the road you can't choose. That driver probably feels sorry for what he did, and that 'stard had better be at/had been at the memorial. I'ma stop talking befor I offend someone.

Hi! I recently found my way back here and was feeling nostalgic. On the off chance that someone comes by here and remembers me, feel free to shoot me a line over on twitter.

These days I teach programming and design games. I'm in Seattle. This was a really cool place to hang out growing up, even if most of y'all were in a totally different timezone.

there's one problem with that, I don't cry too often.....I didn't shed a single tear even during my father's funeral.

The only purpose grievance has is to express emotions that simple words or gestures cannot completely fulfill. People cry to express their deepest sorrows & regrets, or their most joyous accomplishments or happiness. Different people deal with loss in different ways: some cry until they can no longer anymore, some pretend that they are okay and bottle up their feelings, and some truly just live with their loss and move on. Because that's ultimately what must happen: no matter the loss, you must move on.

"Time Travels,
People Move,
Like a River's Flow,
It Never Ends."
~Sheik, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

That quote sprang into my mind and..it's true. Time rolls ever onward, and we must go with it. The most important thing you can do for someone you have lost, is to remember. If he or she is always held fast in your heart, that's the strongest bond that exists; and you will always be united.
