Primarily that is what it is used for, actually it is just a way of recoding some surface elements of a game. You could make the game harder if you really wanted to, so technically it isn't just a cheating device.

I don't think it'd be possible to actually rewrite the cheats onto the disk itself.

Just don't use the AR on PSO unless it's for protection codes like Anti said, and even the protection codes I find to be a little bit in the gray when it comes to legitness.

Ok first of all I didnt say it recodes the disk, i said surface elements of the game. Also in this context its disc not disk.

Second of all, coding doesnt have to be permenant, it recodes these surface elements of the game through use of a memory storage device.

Game does not mean disc, it means the game, as you play it. By surface elements i meant things such as models and textures loaded etc. it doesnt add anything new it just messes around with what there is and not to a great extent either. Please read my posts more carefully T_T

You shouldn't try to flame him because he has one. I'm also buying an AR for my Xbox soon to use specifically on PSO. I want to get it so I can copy all of my character data onto my PC so when I one day inevitably lose my characters items because of FSOD I can just load them back up from my PC.

first i would like to say. i have an xbox action replay, but the only time i use it is to play none XBL games such as pso. If for anyreason i was to use it online it would only be for anti s for FSOD or BSOD
