Do you think Duping is ok to make backup weapons?

When I played legitly aeons ago, I never duped my items, mostly because I never bothered to learn how, but after losing an item to FSOD I was careful and only carried one weapon with me and it was always equipped.

I pass judgement on nobody, but people seem to like to do it to me.

Same as me! Duping is too much hastle, just carry one weapon, it's so easy!

Rangers and hunters just need some good hit demon vulcans and a force can just use something like summit moon.

I think that it would help in the beginning of any new difficulty (offline only) to dupe Scape Dolls. That way, you wouldn't accidently die and have to run through the whole level again.

I agree with this whole thread it's ok to make back-up weapons incase of BSOD or FSOD or whatever I say just don't over-do it or trade them or stuff as mentioned before i think about the trading part ... just don't let SEGA find out about it or maybe a ban or cancel your hunter's license :S

anyone that dupe scape dolls or weapons to be prepared to the new difficulties or the fsod/bsod will think......................hey, i could dupe weapons to trade online and better items........so everyone wins something...................so duping items it's ok with me.

Duping backups is ok by me, however duping items to trade for better items is a big no. You are supposed to gain and lose something when you trade, and when you trade a dupe, you still have the original which isn't very fair. So I say duping is fine, but for backup purposes only.

i agree- ONLY backup. i recently got a handgun:milla by some miracle, its now duped so i have 2 of them on different memory cards. that way, theres only ONE time that i could loose them both, and if it seems likely to be a powercut then i wouldnt do it (transfer characters accross my mem cards- i think that would corrupt both if there was a power cut). ive managed to fsod myself 3 times while learning how to dupe, but i was only using a varista (not exactly like i need another :S) and now i know, i feel much better- theres NO way that spare milla is coming out of the bank unless i get a corruption on my other memory card, in which case ill remake it and dupe again so its safe. frankly, i dont care about any other of my rares because i mostly have a lot of them/they are easy to get. i mean, i wouldnt dupe my justy or FS cos their so easy to get.

trading dupes=illegit.

think of it this way- its world war 3, and your in a trench. suddenly, your ordered to attack, and are offered body armour (backup duping) to save you against the bullets (FSOD) and you reject it. i may never understand why you do this, but its your stuff...

It may only corrupt one memory card when doing the transfer, because its two separate saves. First it saves from the transferring card, then it saves on the card it is transferred to. So if the power cuts, it will most likely only corrupt the card thats being saved at the time. The character being transferred may suffer from corruption though.

FSOD? anyhow it depends alot becouse duping isnt really a hack becouse you dont change the code or am i right? you just use a glitch atleast as far as i got in the duping guide. I got really confused..

however using a glitch for your own profit is not accepted.
