Can XBox changes servers?

I'm pretty new to PSO and I've read a few post referrering to switchting to servers in the EU and Japan. Can we do that on the XBox, I haven't seen any readily apparent setting in the game.

No. Microsoft own the Xbox servers so Sonic Team (ST) can't do anything more than upload/change content. In some cases it's better. If anything bad happens on one server, then it's contained there. But it's bad in that you have a lot less people to play. Sorry, unless there is a hack out for the Xbox that can do it.

That sucks, I heard the Japanese servers are pretty nice to play on. Oh well, I'll just have to get used to it. There's a lot of a$$holes on the servers I've been playing lately. =(

i've not really came accross anyone that bad yet. I've not had the trouble I used to have with the DC version

Well naturally...of course the Gamecube version will be easier to go online with because for Microsoft - Bill Gates will do anything possible to get extra money out of people ( Windows XP for instance where your product key expires and you have to pay for a new number ) That's why I'm so glad that I don't have the XBOX version of PSO. I wouldn't want to be restricted to Xbox Live servers and have to pay for Xbox Live just to go online (Xbox Live is not available in the area I live in)

As others have said it is not possible to play on other PSO region servers (JP, US etc). Microsoft's stated reason for this is to prevent cheating, and abuse. But I do remember when PSOX was first released I emailed them asking if they would consider removing the region protection. I was told that they were considering it but other than that nothing ever came of it.

Besides EU players are bad enough I would hate to think what would happen if you added US to the mix as well.
