Quote:Mr. Faulkie sir, you misinterpret what I was saying.

Pokemon is actually more fun when played as the Metagame. Figuring out different movesets. What you can do, different strategies. It's how the game was meant to be played.

Once you discover it. You love it, and anything less is meh.

It's fun and addictive and strategical, like chess.

Yeah ok, I get what you're saying. If you want to put the time and effort in, I'm sure all the planning and tweaking your team is more satisfying.

Not really for me though to be honest. I pick pokemon based on looks, I settle with whatever nature it happens to come with, I work my way through the games... eventually. Hey I'll never be a pokemon master or anything, but I'm never a serious gamer when it comes to anything.

So yeah, in conclusion I hope they have different brackets to suit everyone. That way EVERYBODY is happy. The devoted elitist, the casual fun-seeker, everyone!

See, I usually do that as well. I'll just catch what I want, then breed them after I have all the resources of the game at my disposal.

I usually choose what looks cool/or good to me. I'm not going to bother making a super soldier Pokemon out of something I hate.

And yes, the rules will be tweakable.

I've often wanted to breed myself a super-team after I've completed the game and unlocked everything. But one thing I always wondered about was what to do with the level 5 pokemon. Who do you battle? Wild pokemon? That would take AGES.

Well in D/P they hatch at level 1. No, you equip the Macho Brace and that doubles EV values. As long as you can calculate it correctly you can also use the Exp Share, as the game records EV's through gained EXP. That's why you don't gain EV's if you run away from a wild Pokemon.

It really doesn't take that long to be honest though.

Besides Serebii has so many guides on it, it should cut all time by half anyway.

Really? I was always under the impression that it would take like 6 months to hatch and raise a pokemon to level 100.

Quote:I knew this kid who could hatch and raise a pokemon to level 100 on Ruby/Sapphire in a single school night.

One of my friends said that. So maybe my estimate of 6 months was wrong. Tongue

Oh yeah, and serebii owns. Big Grin

Yeah, there's no way that's possible. Maybe if it were a Caterpie. Unless they use Rare Candies. No, it takes of few weeks of constant play to raise something from level 5 to level 100. But if you're willing to put in the time.

Naetoru has the best moveset without breeding possible. I think anyway. It might be able to learn Bulk Up, I didn't check, but Curse is good enough. Especially with Shadow Ball and Sludge Bomb being special now. Gengar is an absolute beast. So Crunch is a must on your Todaitos. But this generation Gengar is the new Alakazam. Especially with Alakazam getting screwed over the elemental punches (Because they're now physical moves and not special). And Back to Gengar. It's weak to dark and Crunch is now a physical move. Which makes Absol and Absolute god now with Bite. Swords Dance+ Bite on a monster with a 394 Max Attack Stat= pwnage.

Apparently he gave the pokemon exp share and did the elite 4 over and over again until it was high enough to fight them itself. He said that was like 30 runs through the elite 4.

It's still impossible to do in one night. Depending on what it was. It all depends on the necessary EXP to get to level 100. If it was a Milotic I might believe it. Because I got mine at level 6 and it was pretty easy to level.

You're saying that 30 runs is impossible to do in one night? Or that it's more than 30 runs?
