This may sound like a bit of a noobish question but, I've got PSU and I already beat normal story mode and I can't figure out how to get to hard mode. Can somebody tell me how? :puzzled:

Hm. Phantasy Star Universe tends to be a game that tells you when you've opened something. And nothing is EXTREMLEY hard to find. Let alone a mode option.

Therefore, I highly doubt it.

Well, judging by all of the other stuff that Sega left out, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they took out the other difficulties.

And just what, pray tell, was left out?

If you want higher difficulties, go online. C-S missions roughly equate to Normal, Hard, V.Hard and Ultimate, including the new monster breeds.
Baruk: Lvl 85 Male Human Fighgunner 15.
Amielle: Lvl 24 Female Newman Protranser 4.
Newest Synth: Sweet Deathic! ... 14% Light.

Offline only has one mode... "Really, really easy." XD

Offline play is very tiny compared to PSO, so enjoy what you can out of it. XD

Yup-yup, only harder missions get harder offline. No more difficulties, just harder quest. But of course, the hardest quest only has level 70 enemies! There just comes a point in time when you have to just own instead of going further!

Yeah, I guess that you have a point. At least I already have a CAST in its 30's in extra mode, so I might as well just work on making it stronger even though they already own every mission that they can actually go to. Even my lvl 7 newman is owning everything on there. It just sucks that sega screwed up psu for offliners by removing multi mode and the difficulties. Playing multi mode on high difficulty levels with was one of my favorite parts of pso. If someone ever makes any psu hacks, they at least need to make a code to raise enemy levels for OFFLINE PLAYERS ONLY. Then the enemies MIGHT pose a challenge. But until then I'm just gonna have to keep on owning those wusses.

theres still challanges to it, how about getting to lv100? collecting the s rank weapons up? s ranking all of the missions? maxing each job class?

even offline theres lots to work for :p and a variety of places to go to do it.

Well, of course! But there are no challenging missions or enemies after a certain point! There's always more fun stuff to do in this game!
