let's supose a person that does not have a computer and wants a data storage feature, play games and surf the internet, that would be excelent.
i wouldn't mind seeing movies on my tv.
the only bad side is that a person with 10.000$ could buy a uber computer with 2000 GB of disk, 8 GB of memory, an uber graphic board (or 2, or 3)..........

'Zactly. Waste of money. and as you've said before, you can get Dreamcast emulators for PC, so just go with that. You can get an uber computer for half that price, and downloads are free.

Still, I wouldn't pay $10,000 for a Dreamcast with some drive in it when I can get a normal one much cheaper.

Perhaps, but still. I find collectors to be unusual in some ways. I don't see the point in buying something if you're not going to use it.

If it's the only one that exists, why is it not in the hands of SEGA? It doesn't seem to make much sense to me... I used a couple of zip drives on my PC before CD/DVD burning became a big thing, and before USB keys. They were typically 250-500MB which was a huge amount of disk space at the time.
But uhhh, $10,000 - ?
You could easily, easily make one - or hire people to make a 3rd part one for you for less money than that. Easily.
Maybe whoever is selling it has an idea that SEGA wants it back. That's the only way I can see anyone paying that amount of cash for it.

Surely that means you can just engineer/make a piece of hardware which no one else has made as a one off and sell it for a crapload of cash. It's not the case... I gues it's because it's official that it's going to go for a fair few pennies.
