Your Opinion on Hacks & Cheats

I'm going to go out on a limb here.

I have no problem with people who use hacks, cheats or dupes.

BUT

I do have the following objections.

If you want to dupe it's upto you, but don't go trading said items to other players.

If you want to hack then go ahead at your own risk. But don't use malicious hacks that affect other peoples enjoyment of the game or their property.

If you want to cheat then be honest with other players, you may not be popular if your level 1 HUmar is dishing out 1 hit kills robbing your team mates of Exp from the end of level boss. If the other players don't want you around then find other cheats or people who don't care that you are cheating.

I don't hack and never would even if I could.

I can't be bothered to dupe due to the risks to myself and other players.

I once had an action replay, I used it for infinite health on Resident Evil (Remake). It killed the challenge of the game so I restarted legitemately. The only reason I wanted AR was to unlock all the secret characters on Gauntlet Dark Legacy for my kids, partner and I to use! It didn't have that code. I have since traded it in but may get another copy in the near future simply to protect myself from FSOD/X. I find games loose their challenge once I have infinite life, every item under the sun etc.

If I join a PSO clan, or start one then it would be a legit one. I would only use AR for the anti-FSOD/X code to protect myself and my family (my son is 11 and suffered an FSOD his first time online).

If I see a character who is blatantly into Duping, Cheating or Hacking I don't play with them. In the event that I find out someone has been doing any of the above and I have been playing with them I politely inform them that I do not wish to continue playing with them. It's all about the challenge.

I don't view a player giving his level 200 mag to his new level 1 HUcast as cheating, but it does make the levels very dull! My son has done this, safe to say the levels where too easy when I teamed with him and my levels didn't go up very fast, maybe this is better if you play on your own rather than with other players who suffer due to your legitimately pumped up stats.

i dont like to cheat myself but sometimes i use it to unlock bonuses like the metroid prime bonus the little game of matroid and i played it no more about it.

and i dont hate cheaters but i think they ruins the game playing

it all depends on the cheat and/or hack and/or dupe. I fell that duping is ok as long as your giving your item to some one else (which is the whole purpose of duping). why would you slave for countles shours and finally stumble upon a superbly rare item and what to give your friend one. Most of you awould say let the friend find his own. but thats being greedy. for this reason i feel that duping is being generous... as long as your being generous (that makes sence). If u cheat for like big head mode or a bunch of santas running around in tights. thast okay. if u cheat for god mode and stuff like that thats not okay. hacking depends.... If your making a worthless weapon but one that looks cool thats okay... as long as u do it for looks.

I tried a cheat disc on resi evil two...never worked lol, any ways...cheating on a game does take away the challenge and fun..it gets pretty boring very quickly. I played PSO, made many characters...its fun without cheats...trust. (i don't like playing with cheaters)...

Most people will disagree with you there Elvan, most people say that duping is somewhat respectable if you DON'T give the item to anyone else, thereby not spreading a falsely gained item around.

Never hacked, used AR, or duped but have used items that were made by others. Elvan, most dupers that I've met don't dupe their own items, but get an item that someone else has and dups it for themselves and about 20 others. I've had several ask me for items, even non-rares that I've found (9 stars) that they pass of as legit since they're not a rare (and add %ages). I've played this game a long time, so it doesn't bother me anymore and I'll play with both legit and hacked. It's takes nothing to have both kinds of characters.
What I do have a peoblem with is some people's reaction to others that don't believe the same way that they do on this subject. And it goes both ways, I've met many legits that being legit is like a religion; and sacriledge it you use duped or hacked items. It seemed like a response then from heavy hacker types to always harrass the legits. To tell you the truth it almost make me not want to play, it gets so bad.
It comes down, not to used hacked/duped weapons, but to the type of people playing. Jester if I were to play with you I'd never used a non-legit weapon because I'd ruin your gameplay. It's the idiots that go out of their way to mess up others gameplay that ruin the game, and idiots come with both hacked and legit weapons.

Is buying a memorycard on ebay with saved data on it cheating?

It probably will be. It'll be a duped/copied char probably. Even if it's on an official card, they could still transfer duped items to it. But it's up to you. If you are against cheating but still want the card/chars, then email the person and ask.

I'm with decswxaqz on this one. There's no difference in the odds of getting a hacked or duped weapon by buying an unknown person's memory card on e-bay that hanging around Appetite 1 on the American server and asking for weopons.
Do people really pay for a memeory card on e-bay for items that are relatively easy to come by simply spending time either on or off line??

yea its possible,my friend showed me the website he baught a memory card on.It has nearly every item on pso.It looked like hacked items to me
