I like how Ironic it is that Japan has the most loose care free rules on evreything yet for RE4 they want to tone some things down.

I was watching Gamer.tv (on Bravo) over the week and they reviewed Resident Evil 4, and overall they gave it 5/5! Thats the first time ive ever seen them give a game 100% - is it really THAT good?!

Having given the fact some thought I have come to the conclusion that the game was cut for a more general audience unlike the USA rating of 'M' for Mature and the BBFC rating of 15 in the UK (not to be supplied to anyone under the age of 15). Of course this is based on an assumption and not fact.
As far as the game ratings in the media, it's no suprise it got a 5 out of 5 on a games tv show. Nintendo Magazine has given it 95% and various USA websites have also placed it in the 90's while Famitsu gave it 38/40.

If you go to gamerankings.com and search for it, then you'll see that with all the website and editorial reviews averaged together it has already been ranked 6th best game released since Zelda: Ocarina of time. It's average score is 96% from any professional media review and it deserves every bit of it.

Wow, thats good. How can anyone not be looking forward to this game? lol
In related news, i found this article on
cube-europe.com:
Quote:According to the developer, the much anticipated PS2 version of Resident Evil 4, might be a not so easy deal.
According to the latest issue of CG World, a Japanese magazine, Capcom stated that it is difficult to port Resident Evil 4, to the Playstation hardware. They went to say, that the biggest issue is the memory size. Moreover they have problems with the polygon count. Leonâs model in the GameCube version features about 10,000 polygons, while the PS2 can only render 5,000. Capcom also added, that the model of Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater features 5,000 polygons. They only good thing about PS2, is that it can use of more textures at a time, but Capcom also said that there must be a balance between the number of textures and their quality.
The PS2 version is going to be shockingly worse then the Gamecube version it may seem as far as graphics go over gameplay.

for us GC only users, yay! GC-1, PS2-40. Now we finally have the best version of a game that was ported over.
Also, I just realized how good the rifle (any) is. This gun series can kill any enemy in one hit if you shoot them in the head. the only downside to the one-hit kill is that they could become a parasite enemy, then they will. kills all execpt for regenerators and El giante (as far as i know at least). Like the bugs in the castle sewers, It will kill them in 1 hit if you nail them with a headshot (where the drool is coming from).

Evreyone knew that the graphics would decrease when ported to the PS2.
It was an Gamecube exculusive in the first place because it was specially made to use the gamecubes technique and system power.
Oh and the big boss of RE4 will be cutting his head off because he said there was no way that it would port to PS2.
Whats sad is that Capcom actually went behind his back and made a developing team to port it.
The Big Boss is pretty angry that he never knew and they went aganist him so this may cause some problems for Capcom's relationship and they may break up. Looks like all RE titles could end up on Gamecube Eh?

And everyone, I just found out a cool glitch in RE4. when the 3rd level of the parasites enemies (the bugs that actually go out of the body). It won't hurt you if stand still and lucky you can still shoot too. Eventually the los plagas will die after a short while. And los/las plagas is the name of the parasites. And Gupado (or something like it) are the names of their hosts.
